In the second year of my study, I followed an internship at Tweakers. Tweakers is a website that gives information about technology. My function was a UX Designer & Frontend Developer. I solved multiple small design challenges and wrote the code for them. During the second half of my internship, I was given the assignment to create something from scratch. This was a statistics page that should give more information to the user about their activity on the website.

Challenge

The goal was to create something that would give the users more insight into their activity. I started by getting some inspiration from other statistic dashboards. After that, I decided together with my team what statistics the user would see when they visit the dashboard. I started my designs by creating different components. The reason for this was so that you can mix different ideas more easily. After that, I tried to refine and iterate as much as possible.

Solution

By designing this dashboard, I have tried to complete the challenge as well as possible. I tried different ways to show data while keeping the user in mind. I designed the dashboard in two different sections. One section was focused on achievements and subscriptions. Section two was focused on the reading of articles on the website. Both are optional.
